Thank you for your interest in the Peppi's Wish Tree program. Below please find information on how you can help brighten up the holiday season for our hospice patients and their families.

What is the Peppi’s Wish Tree program?

Community members are invited to pick a tag from the Peppi’s Wish Tree located in the buildings foyer. Each tag represents a gift wish from a pediatric or adult Tucson Medical Center Hospice patient and/or family. The giver is encouraged to purchase the requested item as soon as possible and return it, unwrapped with the original tag to Peppi’s House by December 13, 2018.

What is the history of Peppi’s Wish Tree?

This is our inaugural year of asking for community participation in our holiday giving program. In the past a few community partners would donate items and our generous TMC Hospice staff and volunteers contributed to help meet the holiday needs and wants of our patients. We decided Peppi’s Wish Tree would be a wonderful way for individuals impacted by TMC Hospice to give back.

How does the Peppi’s Wish Tree program work?

Visit the Peppi’s Wish Tree in the foyer at Peppi’s House and choose a tag from the tree. Wishes are granted for both our In-patient and homecare patients and families. Theses wishes can include anything from basic needs to something that brightens their holiday season. Choose the tag that interests you. The patients name will NOT be included due to confidentiality but the recipient’s age and gender will be noted. We are also asking for donations of gift cards. These gift card suggestions have been identified by the hospice social services team as regularly requested needs from throughout the year.

We ask that you return the unwrapped gifts and gift cards along with the original tag to our office no later than Thursday, Dec. 13.

How are the gifts distributed?

Our staff and volunteers will distribute the gifts the week of Christmas. Santa and Mrs. Clause take time out of their busy schedule to bring gifts to our pediatric hospice patients on Christmas Eve.

What if all the tags are not taken by a donor?

TMC Hospice will fill all the gifts requested by patients and their families with grant money from the TMC Foundation holiday giving program.

When and where should I return the gifts?

You can return the gifts to our location at 2715 N Wyatt Road. It is preferable that you bring the gift during normal business hours but if this is not possible you will be able to leave the gift with the In-patient Unit front desk. Our staff and volunteers will make sure the items are handled with care.  Please remember to return the original tag with the item so we can track what we have received.

You will be able to receive a letter for your tax records at that time or we can email or fax it to you if you include your email or fax with the gift.

What if I want to participate but am unable to make it to Peppi’s House to get a tag?

You can mail your monetary donation to TMC Foundation, 5301 E. Grant Road, Tucson AZ 85712. Please note on your check that you want your donation to benefit TMC Hospice Holiday Giving. You can also donate online.

In addition, we are always looking for more fabulous volunteers to help us provide the best hospice care to our community throughout the year. Find more information on volunteering at TMC Hospice.

Are there other ways I can help TMC Hospice throughout the year?

Yes. We are always in need of food and fuel gift cards for our families. You can bring those in or mail them to our mailing address at 5301 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712. You can also donate any time of year.

Thank you to everyone for remembering TMC Hospice during this holiday season. Know we will continue our mission of providing quality physical, emotional, spiritual and practical care for adults and children in the last phases of their lives.
